Flexibility and High Performance

  • Provides Layers 2 and 3 switching of up to 1.4 Tbps and more than 950 mpps
  • Supports mobility and tenant isolation with VXLAN (with a software upgrade)
  • Optimizes latency with PHY-less design on all ports
  • Supports 1/10/40 Gbps for maximum physical layer flexibility
  • Offers up to 72 1/10 Gigabit Ethernet (GE) ports, or 48 1/10 GE plus six 40 GE ports in 1RU

The modular and resilient Cisco NX-OS Software is purpose-built with exceptional support for Layer 3 unicast and multicast routing protocols. Manageability features promote ease of use and include:

  • PowerOn Auto Provisioning for touchless bootup and configuration
  • Cisco Embedded Event Manager (EEM) and Python scripting
  • Advanced software-defined networking (SDN) capabilities, including support for Open Flow and Cisco OnePK
  • Integration with Cisco Prime Data Center Network Manager (DCNM) and XML management tools
