CSCvn49417 | 6454 Should Not Bring Up Network Interfaces before Setup |
If a UCS-FI-6454 is connected to active upstream devices and is brought up with no configuration, it might cause a flood of traffic. This can occur at initial install, after a Return Material Authorization (RMA), or if the Fabric Interconnects are reset to factory defaults.
The UCS-FI-6454 default port state is set to UP before initial setup is completed. This might cause traffic to flood from unconfigured ports.
A UCS-FI-6454 might cause traffic to flood from ports connected to active devices until the ports are configured.
Before you power on a new or unconfigured UCS-FI-6454, ensure that there are no active connections to upstream networks. Complete the initial configuration prompts and wait until the Fabric Interconnect has completed boot before you enable upstream network connectivity.
