Some Firepower Management Center (FMC) 4600 appliances might contain the incorrect CPUs and cause affected units to not meet data sheet specifications.
The FMC 4600 security management appliance is designed to meet data sheet specifications using two 12-core CPUs. Some FMC 4600 units were shipped with two 8-core CPUs and will fail to meet some data sheet performance specifications. Affected units were shipped by manufacturing in the March to July 2021 timeframe.
Affected FMC 4600 security management appliances will not meet upper-end performance limits specified in the data sheet.
Cisco recommends replacement of affected FMC 4600 security management appliances by requesting a Return Material Authorization (RMA) using your normal support process for Fix on Failure.
Use the instructions in the Serial Number Validation section in order to validate your FMC 4600 unit(s).
