|Identifying broken Cisco Navigator RJ45 port
The Ethernet port on the Cisco Room Navigator might fail to operate.
The Ethernet port might fail when the Cisco Room Navigator is pulled across the table by the Ethernet cable frequently over a period of several months.
The Cisco Room Navigator will either:
- Not boot up as it will be missing Power over Ethernet (PoE).
- Not be able to pair as the Ethernet communication lines will be broken.

In the event the Cisco Room Navigator fails to operate due to the issues outlined in the Problem Symptom section, the recommendation is to replace the device.
Serial Number Validation
Cisco provides a tool to verify whether a device is impacted by this issue. In order to check the device, enter the device's serial number in the Serial Number Validation Tool.
