A call processing performance degradation has been observed with Version 2023.04_1.294 of Cisco BroadWorks servers Application Server (AS), Network Server (NS), Service Control Function Server (SCF), and Execution Server (XS).
SIP startup parameter values are adjusted based on the available system resources such as CPU—for example, bw.sip.numEncoderThreads. However, the actual value of the parameter is ignored and the default factory value is used instead. This can result in undersized thread pools that can cause call processing performance issues.
SIP call processing exhibits longer delays when processing calls.
To resolve this issue, customers should download and install the appropriate Cisco BroadWorks update from the following list:
