Installing patch ap385071 for Cisco BroadWorks Application Server releases 23 and 24 might cause patch application and server upgrade failure if the patch was previously applied and then removed.
The patch removal action does not properly clean up database entries, which prevents the patch from being reapplied.
If this issue is present, the following exception will be displayed:
907: Unique constraint (ACTIVATABLE_FTR on BWAS.ACTIVATABLE_FTR) violated at Rowid <BMUFVUAAAD5AAAALC7>
There is no workaround.
However, as a solution, the following patches have been released to address this issue:
These patches fix the erroneous rollback file if the previous patch is applied. They also include a cleanup script (ap385071_revert.pl), which can be run manually if necessary.
Note: To apply AP.as.23.0.1075.ap385269, patches AP.as.23.0.1075.ap385071 and AP.platform.23.0.1075.ap385071 must be removed.
