The documentation set for this product strives to use bias-free language. For the purposes of this documentation set, bias-free is defined as language that does not imply discrimination based on age, disability, gender, racial identity, ethnic identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, and intersectionality. Exceptions may be present in the documentation due to language that is hardcoded in the user interfaces of the product software, language used based on RFP documentation, or language that is used by a referenced third-party product. The article describes a process of generating a non-Smart demo license since the Smart license normally includes the evaluation mode be default. If you need additional demo or evaluation license for Smart Account, you can reach out to the Accounts team or Point of Sales. Every new Identity Services Engine (ISE) installation has 90-day free evaluation (trial) licenses for up to 100 endpoints for all ISE services. Trial licenses may be extended by adding another 90-day evaluation license.
Note: If you need to extend your evaluation license for more than 90 days or more than 100 endpoints, then open a case in Support Case Manager (SCM) and provide the unique device identifier (UDI) and justification.
Caution: Additional licenses cannot be generated without the unique device identifiers (UDIs) for your ISE Administration node(s). Failure to include the primary and secondary ISE policy administration node (PAN) results in delays in getting your licenses.
Before you start, ensure that you have the following data at your disposal:
In the Traditional Licenses section, click Access LRP.
On the PAKs or Tokens tab, from the Get Licenses drop-down list, select Demo and Evaluation.
Note: If the system displays the Welcome To The License Registration Portal alert dialog box, you can select Do not show this message again to prevent it from being displayed again.
In the Get Demo and Evaluation Licenses dialog box, select Security Products from the Product Family list, and then select Identity Services Engine from the Product list (you also have the option to search by keyword). Click Next.
In the Primary Product ID, Primary Version ID, and Primary Serial Number fields enter the product information, and then select the type of license that you need. Click Next.
Note: If you need to generate a demo or evaluation license for failover environment, then you need to enter the product information in the Secondary ID, Secondary Version ID, and Secondary Serial Number fields as well.
In the Recipient and Owner Information section, enter the email address and the end username of the recipients to whom you need to email the license information. In the License Request section, review your license details. Click Submit.
Obtain your License by clicking Download in theLicense Request Status dialog box. You should also receive the License to your email within an hour from submitting theLicense Agreement.
