Step 1
| Loosen and
remove the screws at the top and the bottom (one each), and the left and the
right (two each) sides of the carriage assembly that secure the shipping
bracket to the carriage assembly.

Step 2
| Pull the
shipping bracket out of the assembly.

Step 3
| Save the
shipping bracket and the screws in case you need to reinstall it.

Step 4
| Align the left
rack-mount bracket with the six captive screw slots on the carriage assembly.

Step 5
| Secure the left
rack-mount bracket onto the assembly with six of the screws provided.

Step 6
| Align the right
rack-mount bracket with the six captive screw slots on the carriage assembly.

Step 7
| Secure the
right rack-mount bracket onto the assembly with six of the screws provided.

Step 8
| Position the
front side of the support flanges of the rack-mount brackets on the front-left
and front-right posts of the rack and secure them by using the 10 screws (five
screws one each side).

Note that
all the 10 screws may not align with the screw slots on the rack. We recommend
to use the first 4 screws (2 screws on each side) on the rack-mount bracket to
secure the unit to the rack.

Step 9
| Slide the flange
of the cable-management bracket into its slot on the carriage assembly and
secure it to the unit using the three screws provided.

Step 10
| Pull the tray
out of the carriage assembly and insert the CVR-4SFP10G-QSFP Reverse Adapter
into the designated slot.
Note
|
Ensure that
the guide-pin and the thumb screw guide on the tray is in alignment with the
guide-pin hole on the adapter.

Step 11
| After placing
the adapter in its designated slot, slide the adapter back until it snaps into
place and tighten the thumb-screw to secure the adapter to the tray. .

Step 12
| After securing
the adapter to the tray, coil the excess adapter cable and place it on the
back-side of the tray. Route the other end of the cable out through the
cable-management fingers on the right and the left interior walls of the tray,
and then through the slots of the cable-management bracket.
You can
connect the other end of the CVR-4SFP10G-QSFP Reverse Adapter to the SFP+ ports
of any supported module.

Step 13
| If you choose
to use only one CVR-4SFP10G-QSFP Reverse Adapter, you can use the single unit
mounting bracket (CVR-BRKT-1) to mount it to the rack.
The single
unit mounting bracket is shipped with the rack-mount extension bracket
pre-attached. You can rack-mount the bracket in four different positions - left
and right sides of both the rack posts. To install it on the left side of the
rack posts, you have to remove the extension bracket from the mounting bracket
and then reattach it to the bracket depending on the position of the rack.

Install the
single unit mounting bracket as follows:
- Align the
holes of the extension bracket with the holes on the right rails of the rack
post.
- Secure the
extension bracket to the rack post using the two screws provided.
- Place the
adapter in its designated slot on the bracket and slide it back until it snaps
into place.
- Tighten
the thumb-screw to secure the adapter to the mounting bracket.
