Introduction
As more wireless clients are connecting to your wireless network, every network is quickly becoming a high density network. Some of the key trends that are leading to high density are growing number of:
-
Clients per Access Point (AP)
-
APs per WLAN
-
Independent but neighboring WLANs
Cisco APs have many built-in features that provide an optimal performing network, even when these trends continue to grow.
High Density Experience (HDX) is a broad and comprehensive suite of solutions that are built-in to Cisco Access Points, consisting of custom hardware, application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs), and software to provide optimal performance in high density WLAN environments.
These features are discussed in depth as part of the Cisco High Density Experience Whitepaper: http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/wireless/aironet-3700-series/white-paper-c11-731923.html
This document will focus on the HDX software features that are included as part of the 8.0 software release.
